Job summary

NHS Tameside GP Practices across multiple sites in Tameside are seeking a motivated Health Care Assistant to join our clinical team. You will provide high-quality patient care and support clinicians during consultations, with duties including venepuncture, immunisations, vital signs, and NHS Health Checks.

You will maintain accurate records, help with stock and equipment, and be flexible to work across sites, contributing to a safe and patient-centered service for our local community.

Qualifications

• Experience in general practice or primary care setting.
• Competence in venepuncture and immunisations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform venepuncture and blood sampling.
• Administer immunisations and injections.
• Measure and record patient blood pressure and vital signs.
• Conduct NHS Health Checks and diabetic foot checks.
• Support clinicians during consultations and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with policies and data protection.
• Assist with stock management and equipment safety checks.

• Performing venepuncture and blood sampling

• Performing diabetic foot checks
• Supporting clinicians with patient care and administrative duties as required, Job Purpose: To provide high-quality clinical and administrative support across multiple GP practice sites, assisting the practice team in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care., + Perform venepuncture and other blood sampling procedures safely and accurately.
