Job description
Overview

Field based with travel across Eastbourne and Hastings. Permanent, zero hour contract requiring 3 days availability per week. Hourly rates - £20.83 (group sessions) £12.24 (admin sessions).

As a Health & Wellbeing Coach you will deliver our health improvement programmes to service users referred by their local GPs. You will guide them through group and/or 1:1 sessions to achieve health goals through informed instruction, education and supportive coaching. This is a rewarding role with a meaningful impact.

Please note: You will undergo 3-4 weeks of training and onboarding before delivering sessions. A driver is required as you will travel to community spaces across your agreed locations; travel expenses are covered. You will also be responsible for keeping/storing delivery equipment (laptop, scales, projector, stadiometer).

Part of Acacium Group, Xyla\'s health and wellbeing team aims to make UK local communities healthier by supporting sustained behaviour change, including weight management, quit smoking services, diabetes services, cardiovascular disease prevention and health coaching & social prescribing.

Main duties of the job

Every day you will:

  • Conduct group delivery sessions to service users across your region, and support with 1:1 delivery sessions as required
  • Check and monitor progress via weight management and goal reviews at every session, supporting behavioural changes
  • Support the service user engagement strategy to ensure adherence to the programme and minimise drop-outs
  • Handle and upload sensitive data, maintaining accurate service user records
