Job Title: Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a reputable civils and groundworks contractor to recruit a Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Manager. The successful candidate will proactively manage processes and drive compliance across operations, with a strong understanding of civil engineering hazards and projects.

Reporting to the board, your responsibilities will include:

1. Conducting in-depth safety and accident investigations to high standards.
2. Attending senior health and safety meetings to advise management and external clients.
3. Reviewing, improving, and approving Health and Safety plans.
4. Monitoring and reporting on Health and Safety performance.
5. Managing CDM regulations across all schemes, including submitting F10s and compiling CPPs.
6. Managing subcontractors, assessing their performance, and coaching a Health & Safety ethos on-site.

You should be experienced in coaching and mentoring personnel, controlling safety output on-site, and ensuring compliance across diverse risk portfolios. The ideal candidate will be:

• An excellent communicator, capable of building relationships from site to board level.
• H&S Diploma-qualified.
• Well-versed in CDM 2015, including compilation of CPPS and F10s.
• Experienced in civil engineering hazards, particularly groundworks and utilities (ESSENTIAL).
• Skilled in implementing and maintaining management systems.
