Health and Safety Coordinator

Saffron Walden, Essex

Hybrid working - 3 days in the office

Monday to Friday - standard office hours

£40,000 - £47,500 plus bonus and benefits

A Health and Safety Coordinator is wanted permanently by a global client of ours who are at the forefront of their industry and continuing to grow rapidly. The successful candidate will be responsible for scrutinising and approving third-party work application documents, including work RAMs, and seeking resolution of Pipeline-related issues. Additionally, this individual will ensure all necessary Pipeline Monitoring and Surveillance activities are undertaken to maintain pipeline safety.

This is a permanent opportunity with a base salary between £40,000 - £47,500 (dependent on experience and qualifications), plus bonus and benefits.

Overview of the Health and Safety Coordinator role:

• Lead the resolution of Pipeline infringement issues via legal processes and handle planning and pipeline diversion issues related to third-party requirements.
• Support the Pipeline Team and other stakeholders proactively to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient operation and protection of the pipeline system.
• Coordinate and assign tasks to the Pipeline resource to ensure all departmental workflows on the Third-Party Enquiry System and other work processes are up to date.

Key skills and qualifications required:

• Solid experience in managing or working within the construction and/or operations industry, with a focus on Safe Systems of Work.
• Experience in Risk Assessment and Method Statement writing is essential.
• Experience managing safety around underground assets.
• Knowledge of and understanding of CDM regulations and the Health and Safety at Work Act would be beneficial.
