Health and Safety and Compliance Officer

Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

Hours: 8:30am to 5pm Monday Thursday, Friday 08:30am 4:30pm

Salary: GBP28,000 to GBP32,000 Per Annum

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health, Safety & Compliance Officer to join our clients growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about creating and maintaining a safe, compliant, and positive working environment. You will play a vital role in shaping the health & safety strategy while ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and best practices.

Job Duties:

• Champion a culture of health and safety awareness across all departments
• Monitor performance and ensure ongoing compliance with H&S regulations
• Carry out regular audits, inspections, and site visits including working at heights
• Collect, analyse, and report health and safety data and trends
• Prepare and present information in clear reports, spreadsheets, and dashboards
• Support the development and implementation of a robust Health & Safety Management System
• Work closely with directors and senior leadership to define and drive future H&S strategy
• Provide guidance and support to staff and ensure consistent compliance across the business

What we are looking for:

• A qualification in NEBOSH
• Maths and English to a minimum of GCSE or equivalent standard with C grades or above
• Self-motivated and keen to learn
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
