We're looking for a dedicated Estates Maintenance & Compliance Officer to join our team based in Watford. You'll be at the heart of our operations, supporting the Estates Senior Operations Manager and managing key service contracts. Your expertise will help maintain our buildings, grounds, and infrastructure to the highest standards, ensuring a safe environment for all. Your role at BRE

  • Provide essential support to the Estates Senior Operations Manager in day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements across the estate.
  • Manage several service contracts to support overall operations.
  • Maintain BRE Site, Buildings, Grounds, and Infrastructure to a high standard.
  • Ensure a safe environment for employees, tenants, and visitors.
  • Prevent or halt any estates maintenance/projects that pose risks to people, buildings, or infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate compliance with statutory requirements and legislation.
  • Minimise potential audit non-conformances.
  • Efficiently operate and deliver key service contracts.

This role is critical to the Estates function and statutory compliance of the business as a whole.

Your Profile:

  • Experience working in an Estates/Facilities Management (FM) environment.
  • Relevant construction or engineering qualification.
  • Membership of a professional body.
  • Proven experience in successfully managing compliance in property management.
  • Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements for buildings and infrastructure.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple service contracts efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
