Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a social housing company in the Thame area who are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

They are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join their team, to maintain a safe, compliant, and supportive environment for our employees, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing specialist SHEQ advice to colleagues and subcontractors.
2. Ensuring contracts are compliant and that positive behaviours are embedded in the day-to-day works of our operational teams.
3. Communicating and promoting a positive SHEQ ethos and culture.
4. Guiding and advising projects on the implementation of business management system, policies, and procedures.
5. Conducting investigations for allocated projects, performing robust root cause analysis, and reporting back on findings.
6. Leading and supporting the continuous improvement of SHEQ performance.
7. Proactively monitoring SHEQ reporting systems for allocated projects regarding performance, such as quality inspections.
8. Providing support and advice to subcontractors and suppliers as required.
9. Participating in regular meetings, actively contributing input, best practices, and innovation.

Key Knowledge:

1. Background in the construction industry or social housing/property services.
2. Experience in social housing/local authority settings.
3. UK driving licence and car.
4. CMIOSH or equivalent (or be working towards this).
