Health and Protection Consultant, London

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Consulting Team at Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB). This role will be based in our London or Chichester office. It is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain a portfolio of Healthcare and Protection clients by providing quality consulting advice and ongoing service.
  2. Ensure profitability of the portfolio and expand business lines and service delivery where appropriate.
  3. Manage and develop strong client relationships and win new business.
  4. Work proactively with internal teams to deliver client expectations in line with agreed client account plans.
Key Tasks:
  1. Identify business opportunities from client portfolio and your network.
  2. Maintain industry and technical knowledge.
  3. Coordinate with support teams to ensure service delivery according to Mercer standards.
  4. Retain and grow profitable client portfolios, including new clients and service lines.
  5. Build relationships with key decision-makers.
  6. Win new mandates.
  7. Consult with clients to understand and document needs and objectives.
  8. Manage insurer meetings with clients.
  9. Achieve personal and client financial targets.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Financial and commercial acumen, including fee negotiation skills.
  • Relevant business experience.
  • Consulting and relationship management skills.
  • Technical, product, and process knowledge.
  • In-depth Healthcare and Group Risk knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
