As a Headteacher, you will promote a relentless focus on high-quality, creative learning, delivering our pupils' educational needs, maximising pupil achievement, and their ability to develop.

You will have an infrastructure of support from central services for Finance, Resourcing, HR, and IT, including a network of supportive Headteachers from other schools alongside central school improvement support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve outstanding outcomes for pupils and young people that reflect their needs, abilities, and aptitudes.
  • Create a safe environment that protects the welfare of pupils, young people, and staff.
  • Meet all statutory requirements as defined by the DfE, Ofsted, and other external bodies, aiming for the highest inspection ratings.
  • Lead a motivated staff group fully engaged in achieving excellence and committed to ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Ensure the commercial success of the school through 100% occupancy, rigorous cost management, and growth plan implementation.
  • Engage in effective strategic and operational planning, including self-evaluation, school improvement, and delivery.
  • Develop a shared vision aligned with the Options Autism strategy that inspires students, staff, and the community.
  • Possess at least three years of experience as a senior leader in mainstream or special educational needs schools.
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate willingness for personal and professional development.
  • Lead with a clear vision and provide effective leadership.
  • Understand that leadership encompasses pupil outcomes, staff motivation, safety, pupil enrollment, cost management, regulatory compliance, and growth plans.
