Job summary

Medivet is seeking a Head Nurse to provide clinical leadership for the nursing team, ensuring exceptional patient and client care while upholding regulatory and operational standards. This fixed-term maternity leave cover runs for 12 months.

The role entails leading a team, coordinating nurse-led appointments, and supporting surgeries and procedures, with a focus on development, compliance, and continuous service excellence.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and inspire a nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care to patients, leading nurse-led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges.
• Provide clinical leadership, inspiration and development to the nursing team.
• Deliver exceptional care to clients and ensure high standards of client communication.

Job description

As a Head Nurse you will be accountable for the clinical leadership of the nursing team ensuring we deliver exceptional care, and we are always there for our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of regulatory, practice and operational standards and compliance.

Fixed term Maternity leave cover for 12 months.

The Role:

• 1 in 8 full weekends
• Mon-Fri, mix of earlies and lates - relatively flexible hours
• 2 weeks of on-call per year
• 1 bank holiday per year
