Job summary

Purovets North West London is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse for maternity cover at a busy 24‑hour hospital. You will work 40 hours across 5 days, caring for hospitalised patients, supporting surgeries and managing a varied caseload in purpose-built facilities alongside seasoned veterinary surgeons and nurses.

The role offers development opportunities, CPD support, and a positive, collaborative team environment with excellent diagnostic capabilities.

Qualifications

• An experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a busy clinical/hospital background.
• Confidence supporting surgery and anaesthesia.
• Experience caring for hospitalised, emergency and critical patients.
• Collaborative team player in a supportive, experienced team.
• Independent working when needed and know when to ask for support.

Responsibilities

• Care for hospitalised patients and support surgical procedures.
• Assist in anaesthesia and monitor patients in recovery.
• Manage a varied caseload across a 24-hour hospital.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting maternity cover opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a thriving 24-hour hospital. Working 40 hours per week across 5 days, you'll care for hospitalised patients. Support surgical procedures and manage a varied caseload in purpose-built modern facilities alongside experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses.
