Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery within the United Utilities Framework across projects in the North West. The role focuses on cost management, contract compliance, and delivering financial performance while guiding a team of quantity surveyors and working with operational teams.

The position requires a professional QS qualification (e.g. RICS) and experience with NEC/JCT contracts, with flexibility for site visits across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification (e.g. RICS) or degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Experience with NEC or JCT standard forms of contract.
• Experience reviewing project finances throughout lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing commercial delivery across multiple projects or workstreams
• Supporting and guiding quantity surveyors in cost forecasting, valuations, reporting, and commercial administration
• Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering, contract negotiations, and payments to ensure value for money
• Overseeing interim applications, final accounts, variations, and claims with clients and supply chain
• Monitoring and controlling project budgets and commercial risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place
