Job summary

Aspire People are partnering with a multi-academy trust secondary school in Bury to appoint an experienced non-teaching Head of Year. This full-time, long-term role focuses on behaviour, attendance, pastoral support and student wellbeing across the school.

You will work with students, parents/carers and staff to address concerns, providing effective pastoral support and building strong relationships to help students reach their potential. ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a behaviour, attendance, pastoral or Head of Year role.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Experience supporting students in a mainstream secondary school.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A calm, consistent and supportive approach.
• The ability to work effectively with students, staff and parents/carers.

Head of Year - Mainstream Secondary School Bury

Aspire People are working in partnership with a multi-academy trust secondary school in Bury who are looking to appoint an experienced non-teaching Head of Year to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a full-time, long-term position supporting students across the school, with a key focus on behaviour, attendance, pastoral support and student wellbeing.

The Role

As Head of Year, you will play an important role in supporting students to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with students, parents/carers, teachers and the wider pastoral team to address behaviour and attendance concerns and provide effective pastoral support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting and managing student behaviour across the year group

The Ideal Candidate
