Job summary

Aspire People, in partnership with a multi-academy trust secondary school in Bury, are seeking an experienced non-teaching Head of Year to support students across the school with a strong focus on behaviour, attendance, pastoral support and wellbeing. This is a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP.

You will work closely with students, parents/carers, teachers and the pastoral team to address concerns, implement interventions and promote safeguarding and wellbeing across the year group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a behaviour, attendance, pastoral or Head of Year role.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Experience supporting students in a mainstream secondary school.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A calm, consistent and supportive approach.
• The ability to work effectively with students, staff and parents/carers.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Head of Year - Mainstream Secondary School Bury

Aspire People are working in partnership with a multi-academy trust secondary school in Bury who are looking to appoint an experienced non-teaching Head of Year to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a full-time, long-term position supporting students across the school, with a key focus on behaviour, attendance, pastoral support and student wellbeing.

The Role

As Head of Year, you will play an important role in supporting students to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with students, parents/carers, teachers and the wider pastoral team to address behaviour and attendance concerns and provide effective pastoral support.
