Markel Corporation, London International HQ, is seeking a Workplace Operations Manager to lead occupancy, space planning and service delivery across our prestigious HQ at 20 Fenchurch Street. You will manage a high-performing team, oversee vendors and ensure a safe, compliant and hybrid-friendly workplace that supports business objectives.

In this role you’ll partner with senior stakeholders, landlords and service partners to optimise space utilisation, drive continuous improvement and deliver

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading workplace, facilities or corporate real estate operations within a complex corporate environment.
• Strong background developing teams and delivering high service standards.
• Commercial experience across budgets, contracts, procurement and supplier management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple service partners and hold suppliers accountable for performance.
• Experience delivering workplace projects, operational improvements and organisational change initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with credibility to influence senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead workplace operations across the International HQ and Lloyd's office allocation, ensuring standards, service delivery and employee experience.
• Manage a high-performing workplace team responsible for reception, visitor management, meeting room management, workplace coordination and events.
• Shape development of workplace services to align with business needs, growth plans and hybrid working.
• Own occupancy planning, space utilisation and workplace strategy to support objectives.
• Advise business leaders on workplace matters with practical solutions and recommendations.
• Lead projects and improvements from planning to delivery, including office moves and refurbishments.
• Oversee key workplace suppliers and service partners across hard and soft services and ensure strong performance.
• Manage workplace budgets and drive cost-effective, high-quality service delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality, efficiency and consistency.
• Provide reporting and insights to senior leadership on performance, risks and opportunities.
