Job summary

Circle Group is seeking a Lead Unreal Engine Developer to shape and lead real-time visualisation, digital twins, VR and immersive experiences from Glasgow on a hybrid basis. You will set the technical direction, balance hands-on coding with strategic leadership, and drive scalable delivery across design, development and project teams.

The role prioritises Unreal Engine expertise, C++ knowledge, and mentoring within a growing real-time capability.

Qualifications

Proven experience in 3D visualisation and Unreal Engine development.
Strong knowledge of Unreal architecture and C++.
Experience leading technical teams and delivering VR/immersive projects.
Ability to define technical strategy, standards and best practices.
Knowledge of BIM, GIS, IoT or data-driven visualisation is desirable.

Responsibilities

Define the technical strategy, standards and best practices for real-time visualisation.
Lead Unreal Engine development across interactive, immersive and digital twin projects.
Provide hands-on technical leadership on complex projects.
Develop team capability through mentoring, guidance and leadership.
Drive innovation and adoption of emerging technologies.
Support project scoping, estimation, planning and business development.
Ensure quality, performance and consistency across projects and regions.
Lead resource planning and technical governance.
Support recruitment and succession planning.
