Job summary

Sky is seeking a senior Transformation lead to shape and deliver large-scale cross-functional programmes that redefine operating models and strategic investments. You will partner with senior leaders to translate bold intent into actionable delivery, ensuring governance, risk management and realising the business case across markets.

You will drive end-to-end design, manage multiple workstreams, and provide clear analyses and compelling recommendations to executives.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading cross-functional business transformation within large complex organisations.
• Significant experience setting the strategy and leading large-scale transformation programmes, ideally with operating model design and implementation.
• Considerable experience managing senior executives & leaders, managing competing priorities alongside ambitious expectations.
• Experience developing clear, insight or financially led strategies and a track record of driving those strategies through to successful implementation in complex organisations.

Role/Team overview

The Business Transformation team lead Sky's most significant and complex transformations - from reimagining how we serve customers to redesigning how the organisation operates. We partner with senior leaders across all markets to turn bold strategic intent into real-world impact, shaping and delivering a range of programmes. They span from future-state operating models to making our most aspirational product, proposition and content investments into a reality for our customers.

What you'll do

• Shape and develop strategic recommendations-grounded in commercial and financial analysis-and convert them into clear, actionable delivery plans that drive tangible business outcomes.
• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of large, complex, multi-functional and often ambiguous transformation programmes, including operating model change or key strategic initiatives.
• Drive and take accountability for programmes through all relevant stages of the lifecycle, from initiation and scope definition through to closure and review, leading teams from across the business via multiple workstreams (e.g. technology, operations, digital, marketing, commercial, finance etc)
• Provide challenge and offer alternative solutions where applicable, using your experience from in and outside of Sky to offer a perspective on what to do
• Drive clarity where ambiguity exists - using structure, storytelling, and influence to align diverse stakeholder groups behind a common path forward.
• Implement governance and reporting structure, delivering clear, accurate and independent updates to senior executives across the business, ensuring all stakeholders are clear on status, and issues /risks are known, appraised and being mitigated
• Own and evolve the E2E plan, ensuring alignment across strategic intent, delivery outcomes, and future-state operating model, driving delivery to realise the business case
• Depending on the programme need, facilitate change management, operating model design, or process improvement

What you'll bring

Essential

• Substantial experience leading cross-functional business transformation within large complex organisations (directly or via Consultancy), including programme leadership, change management or operating model design
• Significant experience setting the strategy and leading large-scale, cross-functional transformation programmes, ideally with direct involvement in operating model design and implementation.
• Considerable experience managing, senior executives & leaders, managing competing priorities alongside ambitious expectations
• Experience developing clear, insight or financially led strategies (potentially gained in a strategy consultancy) and a track record of driving those strategies through to successful implementation in complex organisations

• Vision, drive, diplomacy and the ability to make things happen in an environment of ambiguity, complexity and multiple stakeholders
• Ability to influence others in the absence of any direct authority
• Strong communication (and listening) skills at all levels - able to translate messages in a straightforward and simple manner
• Ability to build effective and trusted relationships and collaborate with a range of individuals at all levels in the organisation (including Executive level)

How you'll work

We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 3 days in the office per week.
