Job description

Department Strategy and Business Intelligence

You will provide dedicated business data intelligence and analytical support across the dedicated vertical communications teams within Corporate Affairs. This role turns data, audience signals and communications performance into clear insight, recommendations and actions that strengthen decision-making and reputation management.

What you'll do:
  • Dedicated Business Intelligence Support: Act as the dedicated insights partner for set verticals within the comms departments, working closely with the Insight Lead to understand priorities and deliver decision-ready recommendations.
  • Reporting Ownership: Own the analysis, interpretation and recommendations for your comms teams regular and adhoc reporting, ensuring outputs explain performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities – rather than simply presenting data. Along with supporting teams with post campaign analysis in evaluating against business objectives as needed.
  • Data Extraction & Manipulation: Work with large and varied data sets (Quant and Qual) from multiple sources to uncover performance trends, audience behaviours and opportunities for greater effectiveness or efficiency. Undertake focused and exploratory investigations into priority business and communications questions, combining multiple data sources to develop evidence led points of view and recommendations.
  • Insight Communication: Translate complex findings into clear stories, concise performance narratives and actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences and senior stakeholders
  • Dashboarding & Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards/consolidated reporting solutions that track key performance indicators and enable consistent, assessable reporting.
  • Testing & Evaluation: Support experimentation (e.g., A/B testing, trial measurements) to gauge the ROI of new digital touchpoints, platforms and/or comms campaigns.
  • Reputation Intelligence and Listening: Use media, social and audience listening to monitor reputation, identify emerging issues and provide timely intelligence
  • Tools, Tech & Compliance: Work with the Group Communications Technology Team to ensure measurement and visualization needs are bedded into our tools and technology across existing and future infrastructure.
What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience in data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative, and insight generation, with the ability to turn evidence into clear business or communications recommendations.
  • Strong experience shaping complex data into compelling performance reviews, including clear interpretation of what the results mean and what stakeholders should do next.
  • Experience delivering reporting, post-campaign analysis or strategic investigations across multiple stakeholder groups or business areas.
  • Knowledge of communications measurement, audience behavior and digital platforms across internal, external and social.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, manage competing priorities and adapt analysis to the needs of stakeholders.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to explain insight to non-technical and senior audiences.
Desired criteria
  • Experience using analytics and intelligence platforms such as Sprinklr, Google Analytics, Meltwater or WeArisma.
  • Experience in reputation intelligence, media or social listening, and the identification of emerging issues or opportunities.
  • Experience briefing or executing qualitative research methodologies.
  • Data visualization and dashboarding capability.
  • A data-literate, insight-led approach, with a focus on simplification, innovation and continuous improvement
