Job summary

SF Partners in Birmingham seeks an experienced Head of Transactional Services & Transformation to shape a streamlined, automated finance function. The role focuses on improving transactional processes, controlling systems and driving efficiencies across AP/AR and wider finance operations.

The successful candidate will challenge existing ways of working, lead automation projects and work closely with key stakeholders to deliver meaningful change.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Background in process improvement and transformation of transactional finance processes.
• Ability to review, improve and transform transactional finance systems and controls.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess existing transactional finance processes across AP, AR and wider finance operations.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to streamline processes and enhance performance.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives focusing on automation, standardisation and best practice.
• Work with stakeholders across finance and the business to deliver process improvements.
• Review finance systems with emphasis on SAP S/4HANA to maximise functionality.
• Develop and implement robust processes, procedures and financial controls.
• Lead process improvement projects from initial review to implementation.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes, improve accuracy and enhance reporting.
• Establish KPIs and performance measures to monitor effectiveness of transactional finance operations.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Transactional Services & Transformation to join a successful organisation based in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with a strong background in transactional finance (with a significant amount of experience overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable), process improvement and transformation to play a key role in driving operational efficiencies across the business. This is not a people management role, but rather a highly influential position focused on reviewing, improving and transforming transactional finance processes, systems and controls. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, introduce efficiencies and help shape a more streamlined, automated and effective finance function.
