Job summary

HSBC Innovation Banking is seeking a senior leader to head the Transactional Credit Team (TCT) and manage the Associate Development Programme (ADP) at our London hub. The role focuses on timely, accurate client transactional credit execution, strong risk discipline, and effective team leadership.

You will collaborate with Relationship Management, Debt Finance and Credit Risk to balance client priorities with controls, while guiding associates through rotations and development to build a diverse

Qualifications

• Credit underwriting and portfolio management experience in a commercial banking environment.
• Ability to coach and develop less experienced staff members.
• Proactive stakeholder management across Relationship Management, Debt Finance, Credit Risk.
• Effective resource management to optimise process, throughput and outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, quick alignment with partners.
• High attention to detail with a focus on quality of execution and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Leads a small team of Transactional Credit Team (TCT) colleagues, setting direction and capacity management.
• Ensures TCT executes client limit and transactional credit requests per process and policy.
• Maintains strong risk discipline; escalates issues and exceptions promptly.
• Partners with Relationship Management, Debt Finance and Credit Risk to align on priorities and approvals.
• Supports initiatives to drive wallet share via transaction banking credit products.
• Monitors workflow and outcomes to improve execution and reduce friction.
