Job summary

HSBC Innovation Banking is seeking a senior leader to head the Transactional Credit Team and oversee the Associate Development Programme. You will ensure timely, compliant client credit requests, manage risk controls, and partner with Relationship Management, Debt Finance and Credit Risk to meet client needs.

You will also own the ADP lifecycle—from planning and onboarding to coaching and rotations—while maintaining a focus on diverse talent development and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a transactional credit or risk team in a banking environment.
• Ability to coach and develop junior staff and manage diverse cohorts.
• Proactive stakeholder management across Relationship Management, Debt Finance, Credit Risk and enabling functions.
• Strong execution focus with attention to process, controls and documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small Transactional Credit Team to ensure timely, accurate client requests and strong risk discipline.
• Own delivery of the Associate Development Programme, workforce planning, onboarding and training.
• Collaborate with Relationship Management, Debt Finance and Credit Risk to align on client priorities and approvals.
• Drive end-to-end execution of client limit requests and maintain high control standards.
• Support wallet share growth through transaction banking credit products and improved processes.
