Job summary

Southern Microbiological Services - A Tentamus Company is seeking an experienced Technical Operations Manager to oversee on-site laboratory operations for microbiological testing in food and cosmetics. You will be a technical authority, ensuring testing methods and quality control align with UKAS standards and safety regulations.

You will lead analysts, manage technical projects, and serve as the primary contact for client inquiries, while ensuring timely turnaround and adherence to quality

Qualifications

Experience in laboratory management or a senior technical role in food or cosmetics.
Strong IT literacy.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.

Responsibilities

Quality and Compliance - oversee Laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring ISO 17025 compliance.
Team Leadership - mentor Technicians and Microbiologists with training and goals.
Testing and Analysis - oversee microbiological testing in food and cosmetics with accuracy and timely turnaround.
Auditing - lead readiness and responses to third-party, customer and regulatory audits.
Quality Management - collaborate with Quality Team to maintain high standards and KPI reporting.
