Job summary

STERIS in Swindon is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee microbiology testing and quality assurance in our sterilization services lab. You will manage equipment operation, maintenance, staff scheduling, and ensure adherence to ISO13485, ISO17025, and EU GMP to support safe, compliant testing workflows.

You will drive process improvements, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment while supporting customers and upholding high service

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general microbiology techniques.
• Previous laboratory experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain service excellence to customers with professionalism.
• Ensure all laboratory work complies with Health and Safety policies and ISO13485/ISO17025/EU GMP requirements.
• Maintain accurate quality records and uphold QA procedures.
• Assist in day-to-day organization of the microbiology unit to meet department and customer needs.
• Clean and wash laboratory glassware; prepare and sterilise media.
