Job summary

Bromford is seeking a Head of Technical to lead the regional technical, engineering and design teams, ensuring homes are safe, compliant, buildable and ready for delivery. You will influence developments from feasibility through handover, delivering thousands of affordable homes and thriving communities.

You will guide design governance, engineering assurance and risk management while collaborating with Construction, Commercial and Operations to support successful delivery across sites.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience within residential development, construction or infrastructure.
• Strong background in engineering-led housing delivery.
• Experience managing complex infrastructure, development or ground-risk challenges.
• Experience leading and developing technical or engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the region's technical function, providing governance and assurance for safe, high-quality homes.
• Lead and develop regional technical and engineering teams across multiple developments.
• Drive design governance, quality standards and engineering assurance.
• Oversee due diligence, feasibility assessments and engineering risk management.
• Secure statutory approvals and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Ensure designs are coordinated, practical and construction-ready.
• Collaborate with Construction, Commercial and Operations to support delivery.
• Foster accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
