Job summary

Bromford is seeking a Head of Technical to lead regional technical, engineering and design teams, ensuring homes are safe, compliant, buildable and delivered at scale across developments.

You will drive design governance, engineering assurance and due diligence while coordinating with Construction, Commercial and Operations to ensure successful delivery. Strong leadership and a professional engineering background are essential.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience within residential development, construction or infrastructure.
• A strong background in engineering-led housing delivery.
• Experience managing complex infrastructure, development or ground-risk challenges.
• Experience leading and developing technical or engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Professional membership and chartered status are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the region's technical function, providing governance and assurance to deliver high-quality homes safely and successfully.
• Drive regional design governance, quality standards and engineering assurance.
• Manage due diligence, feasibility assessments and engineering risk.
• Secure statutory approvals and maintain compliance.
• Ensure designs are coordinated, practical and construction-ready.
• Collaborate with Construction, Commercial and Operations teams to support delivery.
• Embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
