Job summary

Stanmore College is seeking a Head of Teaching and Learning to drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment across the College. You will translate strategy into high-quality classroom practice, working with curriculum leaders and staff to improve engagement, progress and outcomes.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on coaching and professional development to support teachers and curriculum teams in achieving their best.

Responsibilities

• Lead activity to strengthen teaching, learning, and assessment across the College.
• Identify and drive improvements in teaching, learning, assessment, learner engagement, and outcomes with curriculum leaders.
• Lead and manage Teaching & Learning Coaches and specialists; provide coaching and support.
• Deliver high-quality CPD, coaching, mentoring, and professional development translating priorities into classroom practice.
• Contribute to lesson visits and quality processes; provide constructive feedback using evidence.
• Lead and manage the College's Initial Teacher Education provision; support trainee teachers in developing practice.
• Promote reflective and evidence-informed teaching, including digital learning approaches.
