Job summary

KPI Recruiting in Manchester is seeking a dynamic Head of Supply – Education to own our Education Supply and Same-Day Cover function, build a high-performing team, and drive growth across the education sector.

You will lead end-to-end recruitment for schools and academies, develop strategies to attract top education professionals, ensure safeguarding and compliance, and shape the future of our education division.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within Education Recruitment with successful placements, business development and lead generation.
• Experience supplying staff into schools and/or managing a same-day or short-term cover desk is highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and grow a recruitment team.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the education sector, recruitment market and talent landscape.
• Understanding of compliance and safeguarding requirements within education recruitment.
• Commercially focused and results-oriented with a drive to achieve targets.
• Strategic thinking and ability to develop growth plans.

Responsibilities

• Own the Education Supply and Same-Day Cover function.
• Lead growth of same-day cover offering, initially in Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, experienced and commercially driven education recruitment professional to take ownership of our supply offering, initially focusing on developing and growing our same-day cover service across Manchester.

What does the role involve?

• Acting as a role model leader, demonstrating inspirational and hands-on leadership.
• Taking ownership of the Education Supply and Same-Day Cover function.
• Leading the growth of our same-day cover offering, initially across the Manchester education market.
• Developing and implementing effective strategies to attract and engage high-quality education professionals.
• Building and developing a team of recruitment consultants, with the opportunity to grow your own function as the division expands.
• Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring the successful placement of high-calibre education professionals into schools and educational settings.
• Generating new business opportunities and developing strong relationships with schools, academies, trusts and other education providers.
• Building strong and effective relationships with both existing and new clients.
• Developing a reliable and engaged candidate workforce capable of responding quickly to same-day and short-term staffing requirements.
• Ensuring compliance, safeguarding and audit processes are managed effectively and to the highest standard.
• Driving sales performance and introducing monthly incentives and initiatives across the team.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and in-depth expertise of the education recruitment market and associated competitive organisations.
• Monitoring candidate quality and ensuring that recruitment activity, candidate screening and interviews consistently raise the bar.
• Providing training, mentoring and support to less experienced employees, sharing best practice and encouraging a collaborative and consistent approach.
• Working closely with the wider KPI Recruiting leadership team to support the growth of the Education division and identify opportunities to expand the same-day cover model across the business.
• Contributing to the development and promotion of the KPI Recruiting brand, supporting relevant social media and marketing activity.

What we would like to see from you?

• A full driving licence is required.
• Proven experience within Education Recruitment, with a strong track record of successful placements, business development and lead generation.
• Experience of supplying staff into schools and/or managing a same-day or short-term cover desk would be highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, develop and grow a successful recruitment team.
