Kier Group in the UK is seeking a Head of Site Engineering to join the STEP Fusion Programme team based at West Burton, with hybrid working and travel across the programme.

You will act as the technical controlling mind and system architect for the West Burton site, leading end-to-end integration across civil, utilities and infrastructure while promoting safe-by-design principles and governance across IPT5 engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, systems, nuclear or related field.
• Chartered Engineer with an appropriate professional institution.
• Experience as technical authority on complex, safety-critical programmes.
• Experience in regulated major infrastructure, nuclear, energy, defence, rail or similar environments.

Responsabilités

• Act as the technical controlling mind and site engineering authority for the West Burton site.
• Lead end-to-end technical integration across civil works, utilities, site layout and interfaces.
• Establish governance, standards, review arrangements and technical decision records.
• Champion safe-by-design and health-by-design principles and mitigate residual risks.
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary site engineering capability and represent IPT5 in governance.
