Job summary

Esteem North Academy seeks a Head of Science to lead the secondary Science curriculum across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE Biology delivery. The role includes coordinating a small team, planning engaging lessons, and ensuring resources align with a high-quality curriculum.

The successful candidate will drive curriculum sequencing, oversee progress data analysis, and lead on exam regulations while developing new offers to meet diverse pupil needs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading curriculum development for Science at KS3/KS4.
• Experience with SEND and inclusive classrooms in a challenging setting.
• Ability to analyse progress data and prepare for inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Science curriculum across KS3/KS4 and GCSE Biology delivery.
• Develop and implement a sequenced curriculum meeting cohorts' needs.
• Lead on changes to exam regulations and new curriculum offers.
• Analyse data, articulate progress and drive inspection readiness.
