Job summary

Aspire Schools Trust is seeking an exceptional Head of School to lead Westgate Academy in Lincoln. You will work with the Executive Headteacher and Trust team to deliver outstanding pupil outcomes, driving teaching quality, staff development, and safeguarding across the academy.

The role requires significant senior leadership experience, QTS, and a proven ability to raise standards, foster inclusion, and build strong relationships with staff and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS and significant senior leadership experience within a school.
• Proven track record of improving teaching and learning and staff development.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; safeguarding expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Westgate Academy.
• Drive high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the school.
• Promote excellence, inclusion and high expectations for all pupils.
• Lead staff through coaching, performance management and professional development.
• Oversee safeguarding as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
• Lead school improvement initiatives and use data effectively to secure excellent outcomes.
• Collaborate with Aspire Schools Trust leaders and colleagues.
