We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Head of Sales & Business Development to join our team at The Stafford London hotel. This role requires a positive candidate with a proactive and results-driven approach to promoting and selling the hotel as a luxury destination.
This position is key in elevating the hotel’s brand presence, driving new business, managing the sales team, and achieving all sales targets.

About the role, what will I be doing?
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's business goals.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitors to identify growth opportunities.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and KPIs to track revenue progress.
- Manage new and existing Group sales to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue targets.
- Prepare and follow up on Group proposals through to contracting.
- Participate in sales blitzes, trade shows, workshops, and exhibitions.
- Manage current portfolio of local corporate clients, groups, and agents.
- Maintain regular communication and ensure repeat business.
- Complete weekly/monthly sales reports detailing activities and financial results.
- Generate revenue in the Local Corporate and Groups segments.
- Familiarize with competitors’ services, facilities, and rates, visiting regularly where possible.
- Manage and train the sales team.
- Understand the hotel’s products, history, and facilities.
- Collaborate with marketing teams on presentations and promotional materials.
- Participate in planning and executing marketing campaigns to support sales initiatives.
Who are we looking for?
- Proven sales professional with extensive hotel sales experience within a premium organization.
- Experience in business development and acquiring new clients from new markets.
- Driven to achieve revenue goals.
- Polished verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent personal presentation standards.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Opera systems is advantageous but not essential.
- Previous managerial experience is required.
- Highly organized, multitasking, positive attitude, and team-oriented.
- Ability to manage priorities and ensure optimal business results.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
