E1 Partners are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology consultancy, seeking a highly driven and experienced Head of Sales to lead business development efforts within the UK Energy & Utilities sector.

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, innovative business at a senior level, with autonomy to shape the sales function and help expand market presence.

The Role

This is a senior, strategic sales role focused on winning new high-value clients and developing long-term partnerships within the sector. You'll be responsible for leading sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and positioning tailored digital and technology-led consulting services to major energy and utilities clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales strategy for new business acquisition across the UK Energy & Utilities market
  • Identify and close new, high-value client opportunities (new logos)
  • Build and maintain trusted C-level relationships
  • Lead complex, consultative sales cycles involving tailored digital/technology solutions
  • Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to create compelling value propositions
  • Manage and develop a sales pipeline through active networking and prospecting
  • Support and monitor team performance to achieve personal and group targets

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Proven track record in direct B2B sales of consulting/professional services within the UK Energy & Utilities sector
  • Experience leading complex solution sales cycles with strong bid and proposal development
  • Strong commercial acumen with exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Credibility and gravitas to operate at the senior stakeholder and C-suite level
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as Sandler, Miller Heiman, SPIN, or Target Account Selling
  • Positive, motivated, and action-oriented with a values-led approach
  • Experience in selling digital/technology-driven services within a consultancy or professional services firm
  • Demonstrable success in securing new clients and exceeding sales targets
  • Knowledge of industry challenges and trends within the UK Energy & Utilities space
