Job description

My Wolverhampton based Distribution client are looking for a Head of Sales to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.
This is a superb opportunity to become part of the senior leadership team and drive the business forward.

Duties will include:
  1. Develop and implement the company's overall sales strategy and plan.
  2. Set and track sales goals and targets.
  3. Forecast sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
  4. Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  5. Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to achieve targets.
  6. Recruit, train, and develop sales personnel.
  7. Provide regular feedback and performance reviews.
  8. Manage the sales pipeline and ensure effective sales processes.
  9. Implement and maintain sales tools and technologies.
  10. Monitor sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
  11. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, product development) to align sales efforts.
  12. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
  13. Understand customer needs and preferences.
  14. Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
  15. Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  16. Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  17. Lead presentations and engage with key stakeholders.
  18. Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
  19. Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts.
  20. Use data to inform decision-making and improve sales performance.
Key Skills:
  1. Must have worked in a Senior lead position within Sales.
  2. Proven capability of increasing sales growth.
  3. If you have worked within Distribution / Manufacturing this would be advantageous.
  4. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment with ability to drive the sales team and enhance business growth.
  5. Experience in Sales strategy and planning.
  6. Forward thinking and proactive in nature.
  7. Excellent communication skills and be able to lead from the front.
