Job summary

St Leonard's Hospice in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head of Risk & Compliance to lead the organisational risk framework, health and safety advice, business continuity and CQC readiness. The role reports to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services and includes line management of the Health & Safety Co-ordinator.

The post requires senior health and safety, risk or compliance experience and NEBOSH or equivalent qualification, with a full-time, on-site basis across the hospice estate and

Qualifications

• Senior health and safety, risk or compliance experience
• Experience developing governance, assurance and risk management frameworks
• Experience leading regulatory compliance programmes and investigations

Responsibilities

• Lead organisational risk management framework, risk registers and assurance processes
• Develop and maintain Health & Safety, Risk Management and Compliance policies
• Chair Health, Safety and Risk Group and oversee action plans and audit recommendations
• Provide specialist advice on Health & Safety, risk and hazard management
• Ensure audits, inspections and risk assessments are in place including fire, equipment and food
• Act as principal contact with WorkNest and other regulatory advisers
• Coordinate readiness for CQC inspections and lead evidence collection for Safe and Well-led domains
• Provide compliance reports to the Executive Team, Governance Committee and Trustees
• Maintain and test the organisational Business Continuity plan
• Line manage Health & Safety Co-ordinator and manage budgets
