Job summary

St Peter & St James Hospice invites applications for a Quality Lead Nurse to drive safety, governance and quality improvement across the organisation. Based in Lewes, you will partner with the Care Director and clinical teams to embed patient safety and regulatory excellence, while shaping service improvements and best practice.

You will lead PSIRF implementation, coordinate audits and oversee governance processes, ensuring compassionate, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Qualified Registered Nurse with current registration.
• Significant post-registration clinical experience.
• Experience in palliative/end-of-life care or related setting.
• Senior clinical leadership experience with staff support.
• Experience in quality improvement, patient safety and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Care Director to embed quality, safety and governance across the hospice.
• Lead PSIRF implementation and governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and clinical teams to deliver quality priorities.
• Analyse incidents, identify trends and support reviews of safety concerns.
• Develop and implement improvement plans to enhance safety and service quality.
• Provide expert governance, risk management, and infection control guidance.
