Job Description:

Middlemore is currently partnering with a boutique Wealth Management firm to support the appointment of a Head of Risk & Compliance to manage our clients' Risk and Compliance function.

The role will be responsible for providing an effective 2nd line compliance, financial crime, and risk management framework. This is a senior management position with SMF4, SMF10, SMF16, and SMF17 responsibilities.

• The role will serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and other members of the Executive team and business unit heads.
• You will design and implement risk and compliance strategies aligned with business strategy and risk appetite, providing assurance to relevant Group Boards, Risk, and Audit Committees, and other key stakeholders.
• You will lead, shape, and develop the compliance and risk teams, ensuring activities align with business needs and strategies, with a coherent succession plan in place.
• You will be responsible for developing the Group Risk and Compliance board packs and presenting to relevant boards regularly.

The ideal candidate:

• Proven leadership experience and a desire to advance your career in a growing business.
• Previous experience as a Head of Risk and Compliance in wealth or asset management, or at least 3 years as a Senior Risk Officer managing risk and compliance functions.
• Previous responsibility as MLRO.
• Experience developing SMCR regimes and working practices.
• Experience working directly with regulatory bodies.

Salary between £160-200k plus an attractive bonus structure.
