Position: Fractional Head of Compliance

Overview

We are hiring a Head of Compliance for a cutting-edge crypto business on a part-time basis to support licensing applications. The role can become permanent once the relevant VASP license has been obtained.

Location

Remote, with UK compliance and regulatory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

1. Own the UK compliance framework and regulatory strategy.
2. Act as the main contact with the FCA and other regulators, leading VASP application and licensing efforts.
3. Develop and enhance AML, KYC, GDPR policies, and internal controls.
4. Oversee due diligence, transaction monitoring, and reporting processes.
5. Collaborate with teams across jurisdictions including tech, legal, and operations.

Qualifications

1. 7+ years in compliance, with at least 2+ years in crypto.
2. Hands-on experience with FCA and UK regulatory frameworks.
3. Knowledge of AML, KYC, GDPR, and risk management.
4. Legal right to work in the UK.
5. Compliance certifications such as CAMS or ICA are advantageous.
