Job summary

Standard Life seeks a Senior Adviser Leadership professional to head a team delivering retirement and investment advice. You will guide up to 12 advisers, ensuring high standards and regulatory compliance while building strong client outcomes.

The role requires strong pension knowledge, a minimum CII Diploma Level 4, and proven leadership to coach the team toward commercial and customer-focused goals.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in the advice industry with experience advising clients with ‘at retirement’ needs.
• High level of technical pension knowledge; essential to have CII Diploma Level 4.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 12 Advisers to meet KPIs and regulatory requirements.
• Meet the Training and Competence Scheme Framework requirements; recruit, train and develop advisers and maintain competence.
• Develop and manage cross-divisional relationships to support business objectives and referrals.
• Adhere to regulatory, legislative and business requirements using risk and people management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Adviser team to deliver high‑quality retirement and investment advice.
• Drive customer experience, advocacy and satisfaction under a robust risk and competence framework.
• Recruit, train and develop advisers to ensure competent professional outcomes.
• Foster internal and external relationships to enable business objectives and referrals.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and sound risk management across the advisory function.
