Job Description:

The Change Partners are working with an iconic travel brand seeking a Head of Retail on an initial contract that may become permanent. The position starts part-time (1-2 days per week initially, with potential to increase).

The Head of Retail will be responsible for developing and executing the retail strategy, including managing Duty Free operations and tender processes, and working with operators to ensure retail excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement retail strategies aligned with company goals and market trends.
• Drive sales and profitability through merchandising, promotions, and team motivation.
• Oversee retail operations, including inventory, visual merchandising, and store maintenance, ensuring compliance with operational standards and regulations.
• Manage outlet implementation with operators.
• Ensure exceptional customer service to provide memorable shopping experiences for international travelers.
• Manage budgets, analyze sales data, control costs, and report regularly to senior management.
• Build relationships with authorities, concessionaires, brand partners, and stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends and traveler demographics to identify opportunities.
• Participate in developing competitive tender bids for retail concessions.

Your background:

• At least 5 years of high-volume retail experience, especially within duty-free, travel retail, airports, or similar international environments.
• Proven success in increasing sales and profitability across multiple stores.
• Deep understanding of duty-free operations and concession agreements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
• Financial skills including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
