Job summary

Newbury Building Society seeks an experienced Head of Retail Savings to lead savings growth across branch and digital channels. Based in Newbury with hybrid working (2 days in office), you will shape strategy, build high-performing teams and partner with Product, Marketing and Finance to drive commercial performance and great customer outcomes.

You will guide the balance growth and customer experience across channels while engaging with community partners and suppliers.

• Experience leading savings growth across multi channels, including digital.
• Senior leadership experience within retail financial services.
• Proven track record of delivering commercial growth, customer retention and business performance.
• Experience leading multi-site teams through change and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret MI and translate insight into business action.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills

Head of Retail Savings

Location: Newbury (hybrid working, 2 days minimum in office)

Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday)

Salary: up to £70,000 + benefits

Introduction

Newbury Building Society are looking for an experienced, commercially minded leader to take on a high-impact role within their Branch & Savings function.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for leading their digital savings sales and distribution strategy and teams across their branch network and online channels, ensuring strong commercial performance alongside exceptional customer outcomes.

Working closely with Executive colleagues, you'll play a key role in shaping the Society's savings strategy, driving sustainable balance growth, strengthening their community presence and delivering a seamless customer experience across every channel.

What you'll be doing
