Job summary

JDT Group in Westerham seeks a Head of Reinstatement, Aggregates and Waste to lead the Reinstatement, Aggregates and Waste Networks. You will oversee staff, budgets, and cross-contract carbon and sustainability initiatives across our depots and WTS operations.

You will drive commercial performance, ensure DESNZ-aligned environmental targets, and maintain strong regulatory and client relationships while leading safety and data-driven performance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Senior operational management experience in UK utilities/highways sectors.
• Strong NRSWA/Street Works oversight and certification.
• IOSH Leading Safely or equivalent SHEA knowledge.
• Experience with environmental permitting and waste regulations.
• Proven track record managing carbon/ DESNZ-aligned metrics.

Responsibilities

• Head of Reinstatement, Aggregates, and Waste Networks with authority over staffing, discipline, and deployment.
• Direct and commercial control of reinstatement budgets to maximise cost-efficiency and ROCE.
• Optimize Waste Transfer Stations to minimise landfill and maximise recycling loops.
• Align earthworks and backfilling with DESNZ targets and green procurement strategies.
• Coordinate with Heads of Operations to optimise scheduling, excavation sizes, and logistics.
• Maintain relationships with clients, Local Authorities, Highways Agencies, and regulators for permit delivery and project lifecycles.
• Own performance monitoring dashboards and KPIs, including D+2 overrun limits.
• Own reinstatement data layer and standardise metrics for weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to Board.
• Maintain safety metrics and internal audits to prevent incidents.
• Act in best interests of the company and promote diversity and inclusion.
