Job summary

DMA Group S.r.l. is seeking a Head of Operations in Kent to lead a major waste management and recycling operation. You will drive safety, efficiency, and performance, guiding a large team through change while maintaining strict environmental and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a proven track record in industrial processing, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to balance service delivery with profitability. A hands-on, front-line leadership style will be essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing waste management, recycling or materials processing operations.
• Strong understanding of industrial plant, material flows, production targets and operational KPIs.
• Experience leading sizeable operational teams in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
• Sound understanding of environmental compliance, waste permits and health and safety requirements.
• Strong commercial awareness balancing service delivery, cost control and profitability.
• Practical, visible leadership style, leading from the front and addressing underperformance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimise all site operations to align with productivity and output targets.
• Drive safety, quality and environmental compliance across operations and sites.
• Plan and deploy resources, manage third parties and contractor oversight.
• Foster continuous improvement and drive performance improvements across the operation.
• Collaborate with the Commercial Team to ensure alignment of manufacturing and quality targets.
