National Grid in Warwick is recruiting a Head of Network Control for the NGET transmission network. The role leads a ~150-strong team, delivering real-time control, resilience, and incident management across critical infrastructure.

The position requires strong leadership and external representation, with a major transformation of control room capability. Applicants should bring significant experience in electricity transmission and operations, and be able to drive inclusive culture.

Formación

• Significant leadership experience in electricity transmission or control-room operations.
• Deep understanding of operational risk and real-time decision-making.
• Experience in resilience, emergency, or incident management, including preparedness and response.
• Ability to lead complex technology-enabled operational change and cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead real-time control of the NGET transmission network with clear accountability.
• Own end-to-end network resilience, including operational and climate resilience.
• Lead incident management capability with escalation, continuity, and learning from events.
• Oversee readiness, commissioning, and transition of capabilities to establish control independent of NESO.
• Build a future Network Control operating model with an empowered, inclusive team.
