We are seeking a dynamic and experiencedHead of Quality Assurance to lead our Test Practice. The successfulcandidate will be responsible for managing our client facing testteam, ensuring the achievement of key internal KPIs, includingutilisation, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction. Theideal candidate will also have experience in pre-sales and runningnearshore teams. This hybrid role involves travelling twice a week tomeet with clients and to our Solihull offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead andmanage the testing team, fostering a culture of delivery excellenceand collaboration and putting our clients first.
  • Ensure theteam meets key internal KPIs, including utilisation, customersatisfaction, and employee satisfaction.
  • Own and develop ourtesting service lines, ensuring they align with industry standards andclient needs.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, includingclient presentations and proposal development.
  • Provide expertadvice and consultation on testing best practices and methodologies.
  • Lead strategic consultative engagements, advocating thecritical value and impact of testing within the software developmentprocess.
  • Be an advocate for best practices, includingautomation, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and other modern testingmethodologies.
  • Deputise for the Head of Development asneeded.
  • Oversee the management and coordination of nearshoretesting teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiativeswithin the testing practice.
  • Collaborate with otherdepartments to ensure seamless integration of testing activitieswithin the overall project lifecycle.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior testing role, with a trackrecord of managing and leading teams.
  • Experience inconsulting and advising on testing best practices.
  • Experiencein leading strategic consultative engagements and advocating the valueof testing.
  • Experience in pre-sales activities, includingclient engagement and proposal development.
  • Strong leadershipskills with the ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering acollaborative work environment.
  • Excellent communicationskills to communicate clearly and effectively with team members andclients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities toidentify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Significant experience working with organisations in thefinancial services industry as part of a consultancy.
  • Experienced in managing, developing, and buildinghigh-performing delivery teams.
