Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a strategic leader focusing on Environmental Health, Licensing, and Trading Standards. This 6-month contract involves offering £600 per day and requires attendance in the office 2-3 days a week. Candidates must possess senior management experience within a Local Authority setting and possess strong leadership capabilities. The role emphasizes stakeholder management and regulatory compliance, with a goal to enhance service quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Senior management experience within a Local Authority regulatory/public protection environment.
  • Expertise in Environmental Health, Licensing, and/or Trading Standards.
  • Strong leadership and people‑management capability within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent understanding of statutory duties, regulatory frameworks, and enforcement practices.
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.

  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including members, partners, and external agencies.
  • Experience leading service transformation or performance improvement programmes.
Next Steps

This role is an initial 6‑month contract and offering £600 per day Inside IR35. You will be required to attend the office 2‑3 days per week, with the remainder worked remotely.
