Job summary

BCL Legal Limited is recruiting a Head of the Professional Support Unit for Employment, Pensions and Immigration in Birmingham. This senior role leads a PSL team, drives knowledge-driven innovation, and shapes training and client engagement across the national service line.

You will champion automation and develop content strategies to keep lawyers ahead of changes, while collaborating with partners and support teams to raise the firm’s national profile.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a PSL or senior fee-earning role with focus on knowledge management and innovation.
• Significant experience in employment law, with knowledge of immigration or pensions law preferred.
• Strong aptitude for technology, automation, and process improvement within legal practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with client-focused content creation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a PSL team supporting the EPI National Service Line.
• Drive creation of legal content including blogs, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
• Deliver engaging training to lawyers and clients on legislative and market developments.
• Champion technology and automation, managing precedents and exploring new tools to boost efficiency.
• Shape knowledge management strategy to equip lawyers with resources and insights.
• Collaborate across disciplines with partners, innovation specialists, and business services.
