Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Property to lead the strategic management of a major rail company’s property portfolio, including Facilities and Estates Management, Building Energy Performance, and Property Projects. You will oversee a dedicated property team, manage third-party investments, and ensure high-quality, sustainable, and compliant property management.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the strategic management of property, including facilities, estates, and capital projects.
• Design and implement a forward-looking property strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of property projects, from feasibility to final handover.
• Act as a key interface for third-party delivered projects and work with industry partners.
• Specify and manage outsourced Facilities Management and Estates contracts.
• Ensure compliance with industry legislation and company standards (CDM Regulations 2015).
• Focus on revenue generation, cost control, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead and inspire the property team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Drive sustainability, service quality, and a positive employee experience across the estate.

Your superpowers:

• Proven experience in property management, facilities management, or estates management, ideally within the transportation or infrastructure sector.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent commercial and project management skills.
• Knowledge of industry legislation, including CDM Regulations 2015.
