Head of Projects, Design & Construction - Europe

Location: London (frequent travel required)

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer /VPO

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Projects, Design & Construction - Europe (permament or fixed term) to lead the successful delivery of our hotel refurbishment, conversion, and new build projects. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of project planning, design, and execution - ensuring alignment with brand standards, timelines, budgets, and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of hotel development and renovation projects across Europe
• Manage external design teams, contractors, consultants, and suppliers
• Ensure projects meet brand, design, and operational standards
• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and risk assessments
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Operations, Brand, and Procurement teams
• Provide technical due diligence and design guidance during acquisition and feasibility stages
• Champion sustainable and innovative design solutions
• Ensure health & safety, building regulations, and local compliance across all locations
  
  

About You

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management and construction within the hospitality or commercial real estate sector
• Strong track record delivering multi-site hotel projects across Europe
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage complex budgets
• Adept at working in fast-paced, international environments
• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or related field
