Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection LTD is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead a production operation in a multi-site FMCG environment in Basingstoke. You will manage a team of direct and indirect reports, drive planning, and ensure health and safety standards are met.

The role focuses on lean improvements, KPI-driven performance, and collaboration with engineering, quality, and warehouse teams. A strong leadership background and relevant manufacturing qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven production management experience in FMCG/manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and people management with coaching mindset.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Data-driven decisions using KPIs like OEE and downtime.
• Experience on shop floor and in planning meetings.
• Clear cross-functional communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead production operations and planning through Production Manager.
• Oversee engineering via Engineers and drive H&S compliance.
• Own continuous improvement and SOP development across the department.
• Manage a multi-shift operation with direct and indirect reports.
• Champion lean initiatives and cost improvements.
