Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection LTD is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to own our production operations. You will lead a team of 3 direct and 30 indirect reports across a double day shift within a multi-site FMCG context in the Basingstoke area.

You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, KPI delivery, and driving health and safety, along with continuous improvement and robust asset management. This is a hands-on leadership role with strong development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager in fast-paced FMCG/manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading multi-skilled production teams and using a production/MES system to drive results.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills with ability to develop a team through a structured pathway.
• Hands-on, on-the-floor leader who also participates in planning meetings and decision-making.
• Good analytics using KPIs (OEE, downtime) to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead production operations through planning, scheduling, capacity and KPI management.
• Oversee engineering and maintenance; own ppm schedule and asset management.
• Drive Health, Safety & Compliance across the operation.
• Champion continuous improvement, SOPs and lean manufacturing.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to direct and indirect reports; develop succession plans.
